Welcome to Kkpets website

Kkpets first began back in 2005 with the aim of producing healthy and extremely tame Dumbo Rats and Gambian Pouched Rats.  Our main focus is to ensure that our animals are handled daily from birth, making them suitable pets for people of all ages and guarenteeing while they are with us they grow up to become loving and friendly pets.  We also work to produce animals that are consistantly healthy throughout their lives, and overall live longer without any health issues. 

As well as occasionally breeding our animals, we run a rat sitting service for people who need someone to look after their rats or Pouched Rats while they are away.  This saves the stress of having to worry about how your animal is being cared for all the time while you aren't there, and as we already have lots of experience dealing with these types of animals, we know how to look after them properly and how to make their stay with us as enjoyable and comfortable for them as possible.



Information about breeders and ourselves

When looking for any animal you should always try and get one from a private breeder rather than a commercial breeder.  This is because commercial breeders will usually be breeding their animals in large quantities, have lots of litters, and will not have the time to tame and handle all the babies.  As a result, this could mean that the pet you get from them may be very timid and shy, or even aggressive, and will make it harder for you to form a good relationship and bond with them.  An example of commercial breeding is shown on the linked website http://www.brecklagh.com/petshops.html. 

We at Kkpets are small, private breeders that ensure all our animals are treated as they should be, aren't overbred, and are allowed the break they deserve between litters.  Our baby animals are socialised with people of all ages and as a result are very tame and friendly before going to their new homes.  We also make sure all our babies go to homes before we even decide to put another breeding pair in together, and this way it prevents any of them being left without a loving family to go to.  However, we don't just breed our animals, all of them are treated as family members and are provided with all the love, care and attention they need.
